Martin Janecký
Martin is one of them. He’s been dealing with glass since his childhood. He comes from a glassblower family. He and his brothers follow in their ancestors’ footsteps.
Shortly after an apprenticeship at his father’s workshop came multiple professional opportunities abroad. Martin travelled across the world. He was an apprentice at Richard Royal and William Morris. Soon, he began to train his own students. Inside-bubble sculpting is a rare technique only a few people around the world have mastered.
Janecky is one of the world’s most renowned glass artists, with customers from across the globe. After many years abroad, he returned to Prague and settled on Kampa Island, where he has his glassworks built. His works are clearly inspired by precise and elaborate classical sculptures.
