Jakub Flejsar in the Vinohrady Villa Garden

This garden belongs to an impressive Art Nouveau villa in Prague. It’s naturally divided into a few different zones: the largest, upper part of the garden with a terrace and swimming pool offers the best views of the city; the western pathway around the house has been designed as a passage through lush shadow-oriented foliage; and the sunny southern slope below the villa boasts delicately wild Provence-style greenery. The smaller terrace in the centre of the lot is east-oriented, so the owners can enjoy sunrise. They’re not alone there. They share their gorgeous garden with Jakub Flejsar’s enigmatic wooden sculptures, who seem to enjoy the views as much as anyone.
